The Baha® system is unique in the world of hearing treatment.
The Baha system utilizes direct bone conduction, which allows the bone to transfer sound to a functioning cochlea – thereby bypassing the ear canal and middle ear. This unique hearing treatment is the only system of its kind with CE clearance and FDA approval.
One reason the Baha system works so well is due to its simple design. The Baha system combines a sound processor with an abutment and a small titanium implant. The implant is placed behind the non-functioning ear. Surgery is minor, and Baha users report a wide range of advantages over other hearing devices.
There are three models of Baha sound processors available – the Baha Divino™, the Baha Intenso™ and the Baha® Cordelle II.
Depending on which sound processor is right for you there are colour and design options available. Several accessories are also available for enhanced sound quality in different listening environments.

Nucleus® Freedom™ is designed to mimic the functions of the human ear, by automatically distinguishing important sounds from everything else—just like natural hearing.

Nucleus® Freedom™ Speech Processors

It takes an extraordinary design to make the everyday easier. Freedom does just that. It not only helps you to hear more, its unique design allows you to do more.
The Nucleus Freedom configuration is ideal. School children like the subtle appearance of the BTE (Behind the Ear) for the classroom and the robustness of the Bodyworn when playing sport. A business person may prefer the slim look of the BTE, but switch to the Bodyworn for a lunchtime run. Those who prefer larger buttons and a larger LCD display may prefer the Bodyworn for all situations. The modular design gives you both wearing options, the choice is yours.
Your speech processor is splash proof! The BTE and the Bodyworn configuration withstand humidity and the unpredictability of everyday life. The Freedom speech processor is the world’s only speech processor to meet international IEC standard with an IP44 rating. This unique feature makes it the only speech processor to offer this kind of freedom in wet conditions. There is no other speech processor that is better suited to active living, humid environments or children’s play.

Baha® Cordelle II
The Baha® Cordelle II is the most powerful Baha sound processor offered by Cochlear. It has been specifically designed for users with severe mixed hearing losses.
The Cordelle II consists of an ear-level transducer and a body-worn unit. This model has a built-in telecoil, which allows wearers to utilize teleloop facilities and can be used as a telephone pick-up for enhanced sound quality. |

The Baha® Cordelle II has an electrical input designed for connecting external equipment such as FM hearing systems, IR systems, MP3 players, televisions and is compatible with mobile phones. It's slim and easy to wear.
The bodyworn unit is black and the head worn transducer is available in three colors: beige, black and grey. |
